Media Room

Media Room

Media Room is a simple video player which gives you an immersive experience where you can use the keyboard or the Apple Remote to find and view your media. It plays any format supported by QuickTime and VIDEO_TS (on your hard drive).

To play more movie formats, download and install these (for free):

You can also use Handbrake to convert movies. It’s free and easy to use: start HandBrake, select the source and click start/run. I personally had to convert a few of my movies and it was easy.

  3. I would love to see music capability added to Media Room or as a separate app. I’m really missing Front Row after upgrading to Mountain Lion and I’m baffled that the only alternatives I can find are Plex or XBMC. XBMC works, but it just can’t match the ease and simplicity of the old Front Row.

    • Hi and thanks for using my app!

That’s a great idea. Although I don’t plan to include that kind of feature in the near future, I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind.
